Police were stationed at the edge of the floodwaters to keep onlookers and residents from crossing in dangerous areas.

The surfers in the water at Rosalie, a bit sheepish in front of the onlooking crowd and having been told by the police about the contaminated water.

$People were back carrying on with their normal routines if they weren\'t affected by their floods. Many of them stopping by to check out the water.$

Notices from Brisbane City Council to leave their homes could be seen in the mailboxes of already vacated residences in Rosalie.

People paddle through what once was an 5 way intersection. I lived further up on Baroona Road and a friends house appears in the background here.

The day after the floods, news crews gathered around the edges of the water all around Rosalie, due to the easy access to the waters from higher ground I believe.

At the bottom of Milton Road, near Torwood Street, the water levels were high enough to allow boats through.

Some people hopped into boats to survey the floods, some were residents checking on their own properties and others were just there to check it out or give residents a lift. Shot at the bottom of Milton Road, near Torwood St.
